responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Implement and provide technical or business guidance on new GAAP (i.e. revenue recognition)
- Prepare and analyze the segments balance sheets and income statements as presented in the monthly reports
- Interact with various groups in the Company to establish and/or clarify accounting policies in accordance with GAAP/Company policy
- Prepare, analyze and present the segments financial results to senior management on a quarterly basis
- Support business budgeting/forecasting
- Identify and solve accounting and business issues as they arise
- Ensure accounting controls are maintained and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures through regular performance reviews, identifications of control gaps and leading any necessary remediation efforts
- Participate in special projects as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
qualifications:
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Master's degree in accounting or finance preferred
- Certified Public Accountant [CPA] (Upon Hire)
- Five (5) years or more of experience in public accounting
- Excellent analytical, communication (written and oral), organizational, and research skills
- Ability to:
- Manage multiple projects
- Interact with senior management
- Technical knowledge of GAAP (advanced level)
