The Staff Accountant is responsible for billing various grants, performing general ledger account and bank statement reconciliation, preparing journal entries and financial statements, creating and maintaining periodic reporting, maintaining fixed asset system, assisting with annual budgeting, compiling grant applications and expenditures reporting, preparing statistical and financial reports for creditors and agencies, maintaining records retention, and assisting the Chief Financial Officer in preparation of miscellaneous confidential correspondence.salary: $35 - $45 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilities⦁ Owns full Inventory management process from raw materials, receiving, inventory counts, reconciliation and grading ⦁ Prepares various budgets and analysis as needed to provide timely data for decision-making ⦁ Performs month-end, quarterly and year-end financial closing procedures and reporting in an efficient manner ⦁ Assist in capital expenditure requests and audits and manages fixed assets ⦁ Owns Accounts Receivable (AR) process from cash application, preparation of aging reports through collections and maintains aged balances within targets ⦁ Monitor and analyze workflow to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy ⦁ Effectively communicates and coordinates the exchange of financial information to key stakeholders ⦁ Manages and reports Sales & Use tax and tax audit requirements ⦁ Completes additional department/interdepartmental projects and analysis as neededSkillsAccounting (2 years of experience is preferred)QuickBooks (2 years of experience is preferred)Excel (2 years of experience is preferred)Accounts Receivable (2 years of experience is preferred)QualificationsYears of experience: 3 yearsExperience level: ExperiencedRandstad is a world leader in matching great people with great companies.
