We're looking for a shipping and receiving lead with internation shipping experince!!! Duties include: • Compares the identifying information and counts items of incoming (other than manufacturing and R&D products) and outgoing shipments to verify information against invoices, orders, or other records. • Determines method of shipment • Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons, or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons. • Assembles cardboard containers or selects pre-assembled containers. • Gathers items listed on packing slips and packages into appropriate containers. • Inserts items into containers. • Stamps, stencils, or stickers identifying information and shipping instructions on to crates or containers. • Completes relevant paperwork per carrier/shipping method. • Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage. • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments (other than manufacturing and R&D products), rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damage and shortages. • Routes items to departments. • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
