Our client is a leading healthcare company with an urgent need for a skilled, and experienced (minimum 5 years) HR Professional, with extensive knowledge in benefits, specifically leaves and disabilities. The ideal candidate holds their Bachelor's degree, ideally in Human Resources, has 5+ years of experience in LOA and Disabiltiies, Benefits, and is proficient with HRIS systems. This is a hybrid position, where the employee must work onsite in Pasadena, CA up to 3 days per week. This is a 7-month contract assignment, with potential to extend.salary: $30 - $34 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilities Handles LOA (leaves of absence), accommodation requests for disability, extended leave requests (pregnancy, personal, etc.) Must have in depth understanding of HR law, operations, policy (state and federal), and administrative operations Technology: HRIS System (PeopleSoft), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams) Oversee and provide direction to support staff with respect to daily operations, prioritization of Disability Leaves/ Attendance projects, operational standards and performance management. Manage full range of oversight for the Disability Leaves/Attendance team. Ensure alignment with key stakeholders and Disability Leave/Attendance teams assigned to department initiatives. Responsible for planning, developing, assessing and evaluating cases for action and/or follow-up including overseeing the interactive process. Provide recommendations to leadership team for allocation of resources and temporary staffing. Consult with management in providing job accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of a job. Demonstrate initiative in identifying alternative solutions to issues in projects and/or departmental processes. Provide recommendations to the leadership team as needed to ensure successful completion of project milestones and departmental objectives Responsible for ensuring that business processes for functional components of Disability Leaves/Attendance database are current and adhered to by staff.
