Senior Accountant
An international renewable energy company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing Asset Management team! This company is a global player developing, designing, building and managing plants that generate clean energy. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for several functions including the following areas to be managed on behalf of the owner of the assets: General Accounting, internal and external Financial Reporting, and Audit. This position will report to the Director Accounting, Finance, and Control based in Washington DC.

responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, such as Account Payables, Account Receivables,
General ledger, book cash-in and cash-out.
- Perform accounting month-end close activities including analysis and journal entry
recording, consolidation and eliminations, account reconciliation and intercompany
balances.
- Collaborate with the Director of Accounting, Finance, and Control to review business
transactions to ensure proper recording, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of the input
into financials and reporting.
- Provide financial analysis and data gathering support as needed for budgeting process.
- Support financial audits and other control related projects as needed.
- Support process improvement initiatives and accounting automation projects.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required and masters preferred.
- CPA or equivalent international accounting license preferred.
- Knowledge of US GAAP required; knowledge of IFRS preferred.
- Consolidation skills are a plus.
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and ability to
prioritize to manage multiple projects at once.
- The ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes.
- Work independently as well as a team in a remote environment.
- Excellent Excel skills, knowledge of Sage Intaact or similar ERP is a plus.
This position will operate on a hybrid schedule from the office in Wash DC.
Salary $80,000 - 100,000 + bonus
