RESPONSIBILITIES
Management of accounting operations including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Inventory, A/R, and A/P
Establish and maintain financial controls, working with the Operations teams as needed to maintain the timely, complete and accurate flow of financial information between departments and teams
Responsible for timely, complete and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual close, along with the preparation of the Monthly Financial Statement Reporting Package and supporting schedules
Manage Inventory accounting and reconciliations
Manage A/R Contracts Administration, Invoicing, and Collections and maintain positive customer relationships
Manage A/P and maintain positive vendor/supplier relationships
Prepare journal entries including accruals, depreciation, etc. as required
Calculation of Sales and Project Management Commissions on a monthly basis
Calculation and Payment of Sales Taxes across multiple states on a monthly basis
Preparation of Budgets and Financial Forecasts
Manage daily bank reporting and processing
Manage monthly bank and credit cards statements' reconciliations
Maintain Fixed Assets schedules
Assist with special projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- CPA License
- 7+ years of progressive technical accounting and management experience
- Background in real estate construction, building supply, logistics, supply chain, or other relevant industry experience
- Comprehensive understanding of all accounting functional areas
- Technical expertise with both GAAP and Tax methods of accounting
- Experience with SAP Business One
- Proven success at managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, while leading a high performing team of individuals
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Strong work ethic, operates with a sense of urgency, as appropriate
- Ability to see the big picture while having a high regard for the details
- Responds well under pressure, and maintains professionalism at all times
- Maintains confidentiality at all times
