responsibilities:
The Senior Accountant will perform wide ranging financial accounting and analysis for this organization. It is a high profile position reporting to the Controller.
Duties include:
- Preparing journal entries and workpapers
- Maintaining the general ledger
- Assist with month end close and financial statement prep and analysis
- Review bank reconciliations
- Prepare account reconciliations and accruals
- Test and strengthen controls and processes to maximize efficiencies
- Review expense allocations
- Oversee payments to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Coordinate audits
- Ad hoc projects
qualifications:
The ideal profile will include:
- BS in Accounting or Finance
- CPA is preferred
- 3+ years of relevant accounting/audit experience
- Prior experience in public accounting is desired
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Ability to be adaptable and work in fast paced environment
