Tatum by Randstad is seeking a high-level Payroll professional with a strong accounting pedigree.We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert who can handle a complex hourly payroll cycle while simultaneously spearheading a project to automate and optimize payroll workflows.

responsibilities:
- Full-Cycle Accounting: Prepare and post complex payroll journal entries, ensuring labor burden and fringes are accurately reflected in Sage.
- Benefit Reconciliations: Own the monthly reconciliation process for all employee benefits, ensuring carrier invoices match payroll deductions perfectly.
- Process Automation: Evaluate current manual touchpoints between APS Payroll and Sage ERP; design and implement automated import/export workflows to eliminate manual entry.
- Compliance & Audit: Lead the internal audit of weekly payroll runs to ensure 100% compliance with FLSA and local labor laws.
- Reporting: Generate labor distribution reports to help leadership understand project-specific profitability.
qualifications:
- Software Expertise: Direct experience with APS Payroll and Sage (Sage 300 CRE or Sage Intacct) is highly preferred.
- Accounting Depth: Must be comfortable with GAAP, specifically as it relates to payroll liabilities and journal entries.
- The "Automation" Mindset: You don't just follow a process; you look for ways to make it faster and more accurate through technology.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in Construction or Manufacturing is a major plus due to the complexities of job costing and hourly labor laws.
- Local Presence: Must be able to work on-site in Naples, FL.
