Our client is the exclusive U.S. importer for a premier, globally recognized European beverage brand-a company where a world-class product portfolio meets dynamic, entrepreneurial energy.
Their finance team is small, highly collaborative, and deeply integrated into daily operations, meaning the work you do here is visible and impactful from day one. In this role, you will own the month-end close process, produce financial statements, and deliver the sharp business analytics that empower leadership to make confident decisions. responsibilities:
Accounting & Close Management
- Lead Month-End Close: Own the full month-end close cycle, including journal entry generation, account reconciliations, and inventory reconciliation.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports complete with accompanying variance analysis.
- Compliance & Audit Support: Manage regulatory compliance filings, including monthly Excise Tax returns, and provide audit assistance as needed.
- Cross-Functional Support: Provide coverage for the broader accounting staff during peak business periods.
- Operational Insights: Deliver sharp business analytics focused on operational performance and executive decision-making.
- Commercial Finance Support: Partner with Sales Management to analyze field promotions, track marketing spend to the program level, and evaluate commercial impact.
- Strategic Planning: Assist the CFO with annual plan preparation and supporting financial analytics.
- NetSuite Power User: Serve as the internal NetSuite subject matter expert, identifying and driving process improvements in partnership with Finance and IT.
- Cloud Analytics: Contribute to the adoption and optimization of cloud-based reporting tools.
- Financial Modeling: Design complex Excel models (pivot tables, lookups, and advanced formulas) to improve reporting accuracy and drive business insights.
qualifications:
- Industry Experience: Experience within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), food, or beverage is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in NetSuite and expert-level MS Excel capabilities.
- Professional Attributes: Strong analytical mindset, hands-on execution skills, and the capability to manage both high-level strategy and granular details.
