The intern will support projects focused on various types of biologics, aiding in their development from proof of concept to implementation. Key responsibilities will include conducting wet-lab research, designing experiments to characterize and evaluate different drug candidates, and analyzing data. To gain practical experience, the intern will choose a project that aligns with ongoing research or addresses a specific challenge. They will design the research by outlining objectives, methodologies, and expected outcomes, perform experiments, collect data, and analyze the results. At the end of the term, the intern will present their findings to peers and supervisors.

responsibilities:
- Assisting with ongoing projects related to proteins, peptides, antibodies, and AAVs from proof of concept to implementation across various stages.
- Conducting experiments such as assay development and pilot studies using chromatography (SEC, Affinity, IEX, RP), light scattering (MALS, DLS), various optical techniques like fluorescence, FP, DSF, BLI, and proximity labeling; capillary electrophoresis; cell culture; flow cytometry and molecular techniques (ddPCR, qPCR, Western blotting).
- Preparing reagents, buffers and samples, as well as ensuring the calibration of equipment is maintained.
- Designing comprehensive experiments and addressing issues as they arise.
- Completing a specialized independent project to be presented at the end of the term.
qualifications:
- Master's degree in life sciences or chemical biology and have gained experience in conducting independent research and managing the entire research process autonomously, demonstrating critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Have a background in carefully organizing and structuring experiments to ensure they are thorough and effective.
- Capable of identifying and resolving problems that may occur during the experimental process, demonstrating your ability to adapt and find solutions when challenges arise.
- Have an interest or curiosity in pursuing a career in Life Sciences/Biotech/Pharmaceuticals
- Ability to manage workload effectively including planning, organizing, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
