responsibilities:
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure effective communication coordination and communication with Pilot and Quality
- Comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Ensure that customers' expectations are met/exceeded
- Assign work to Lab technician
- Manage "day-to-day" projects, based on product briefs and development requests
- Assess project feasibility and assign work to lab technicians/chemist based on the degree of complexity and skills required
- Keep time schedule for submissions to marketing, formula evaluation, pilot schedule, stability, safety testing, etc.
- Ensure all samples required per project are provided to customer
- Negotiate timing and project related aspects with other teams including formulations and project management
- Keep a clean record of formulation in lab notebook
- Complete COAs (Certificate of Analysis) for new formulas
- Provide Formulas on time
- Assist Pilot with new formulations
- Work closely with Quality Control
- Assist in maintaining the introduction of new raw material to a minimum
- Responsible for successful R&D contributions
- Communicate to direct supervisor any issue related to project feasibility
- Interface with contractors and suppliers
- Ensure effective coordination and communication with Marketing and Sales Department
- Interact with Process Engineers, Production, Purchasing and Quality Control Department.
- Assist Marketing/Sales with technical expertise and make joint visits as needed to meet existing or new customers
- Maintain laboratory safety standards
- Perform routine analytical and physical tests
- Ensure that customers' expectations are met/exceeded
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and/or equivalence in science related field
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in skin care, hair care, body care and sun care formulations
- Combination of experience and relevant education
