responsibilities:
- Execute sample processing, aliquoting, and precise comminution techniques using grinding mills and liquid nitrogen.
- Perform wet chemistry extractions and digestions on food products to determine fiber content.
- Operate and generate final data using advanced HPLC and LECO Protein Analyzer systems.
- Log preparation techniques and tracking details into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Maintain strict adherence to lab safety and quality standards, including PPE, GMP, and OSHA.
qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience, OR an Associate/Bachelor's degree in a science-related field.
- Ability to stand for 5-6 hours daily and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Willingness to wear all required PPE, including mandatory steel-toe shoes.
- Flexibility to work alternate first-shift hours between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Proficiency with LIMS and Microsoft Office.
- Broad knowledge of food testing services.
