An Engineering Technologist is needed for a world class utility company in the Muncie, IN area. This Engineering Technologist will perform circuit analysis and customer impact studies, apply basic technical knowledge to solve problems, support planning, and develop communication/business awareness skills under guidance.

responsibilities:
- Perform special technical functions under guidance.
- Gain familiarity with relevant standards, codes, regulations, equipment, and business processes.
- Assist higher-level employees with well-defined portions of routine problems.
- Maintain required records and prepare special reports (tests, performance, projects).
- Plan work according to company standard practices and prioritize routine work.
- Follow all company policies, practices, standards, and external regulations.
- Perform ongoing activities in accordance with established procedures, directed by higher-level employees.
- Apply technical knowledge to resolve basic problems.
- Seek opportunities to solve problems of light complexity.
- Communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) and present ideas clearly.
- Resolve conflict and build consensus.
- Assist in preparing technical reports and papers.
- Demonstrate ability to be a team player.
- Bachelor's degree in an ABET-accredited Engineering Technology program (preferred).
- Engineering degrees will also be considered.
- Acceptable alternatives include non-ABET degree plus a PE license or non-ABET degree plus a Master's/PhD in Engineering Technology from a university with an ABET-accredited Bachelor's program.
