A Mechanical Assembler is needed for one of the world's largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products in the Everett, WA area. This position performs complex mechanical and electrical assembly/sub-assembly using tools and blueprints, potentially leading lower-level staff.

responsibilities:
- Reports to the Manufacturing Operations Supervisor.
- Performs a wide variety of mechanical production sub-assembly and assembly operations (semi-skilled, difficult, and complex units).
- Determines methods and sequence of assembly operations where complete information is not readily available.
- Follows assembly shop and production operations sheets, samples, blue prints, and verbal instructions.
- Works with electrical components and wiring of various assemblies.
- Works with riveting small detail sheet metal assemblies.
- Works with small assemblies putting them together.
- Utilizes small hand tools (wrenches, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers).
- Utilizes pneumatic tools (drill motors and nut runners).
- Uses precision measurement tools (scales, digital and dial calipers, and micrometers).
- Identifies and selects components for integration into sub-assembly and assembly units.
- Makes own set-ups, alignments and adjustments, maintaining tolerance.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Related experience/training or equivalent combination is a plus.
