An energy technology company is hiring a Design Engineer in Greenville, SC. This is an Engineering role requiring a Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, focused on partnering with the Global Supply Chain to improve processes, resolve hardware non-conformances, and apply lean manufacturing and HGP design knowledge to enhance product quality and reduce cost. This is a 12 months contract position with the possibility of an extension.

responsibilities:
- Partner with Global Supply Chain (GSC) and collaborate cross-functionally to continuously drive improvements.
- Dispose of hardware non-conformances while maintaining optimal quality for customers.
- Support hardware qualifications for new processes, process changes, and new equipment.
- Apply knowledge of HGP design and manufacturing to implement new ideas that enhance overall part function.
- Implement new ideas that reduce cost and add value.
- Participate in Supply Chain Kaizens & Lean Action Workouts.
- Support Design for producibility, lean flow, and concurrent Engineering.
- Proactive Quality engagement for Defect reduction / process improvements.
- Support Qualification guidelines, specifications, and top manufacturing issues.
- Technology development and qualification of special processes - castings, coating, holedrilling, etc.
- Cultivate teamwork, positive working environment, and morale.
- Drive a sense of urgency and quality with speed.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Gas Turbine engineering experience.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Well versed in lean manufacturing methods and statistical process control.
- Background on HGP components, including NX and GD&T.
- Ability to build trust with team members and interfacing organizations.
- Experience and familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes.
- Customer satisfaction mindset with strong Quality orientation.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
