A Manufacturing Technician is needed for a technology company that designs and manufactures connectors and sensors for several industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems, and more, in the Middletown, PA area. This role supports the engineering team by precisely assembling, inspecting, measuring, and validating prototype and sample products using specialized tools to ensure adherence to quality specifications in a fast-paced lab environment.

responsibilities:
- Support manufacturing and process development engineers with the assembly, operation, and inspection of prototype samples and customer builds.
- Perform detailed work under a microscope, ensuring precision and consistency in assembly and inspection tasks.
- Interpret and follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications with accuracy.
- Utilize precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, OGP systems, and optical comparators to verify product conformity.
- Support the engineering team with sample production, troubleshooting, and applicator development projects.
- Measure and evaluate samples and other key features to validate design and process quality.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to identify, communicate, and resolve issues observed during assembly or inspection.
- Use basic hand tools safely and effectively to complete assigned work.
- Work cooperatively in a manufacturing lab setting, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in manufacturing, machining, or engineering technology preferred.
- 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing, prototype, or precision assembly environment preferred.
- strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive, high-precision tasks.
- Proficient with hand tools.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation, reporting, and data entry.
- Excellent teamwork skills in a collaborative lab setting.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, maintain accurate records, and flag inconsistencies or issues for engineering review.
- Laboratory/manufacturing setting supporting engineering development.
- Work may involve extended periods using microscopes and precision tools.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement expected.
