A Project Engineer is needed for the world's largest food and beverage company in the Waverly, IA area. An Engineering Project Manager will oversee the entire lifecycle of capital investments (fixed assets/equipment) from concept to closeout, ensuring safety, ethical conduct, cGMP/GHE/HACCP compliance, and low-cost, highly efficient design using engineering principles, project management tools, and strong cross-functional leadership

responsibilities:
- Oversee capital investments for fixed assets with a cross-functional team.
- Manage the relocation, optimization, and purchase of new fixed assets.
- Handle projects from initial conceptual studies through to project closeout.
- Ensure zero tolerance for unsafe situations and uphold ethical conduct.
- Support clear and open communication among team members and stakeholders.
- Lead in driving Good Hygienic Engineering (GHE), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with Quality System (QS), HACCP, and OSHA requirements.
- Encourage continuous improvement, networking, and information sharing.
- Ensure technological and proprietary know-how are in place and managed.
- Project Management and Process Engineering experience in the food & dairy, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or consumer products industry is a plus.
- Supervisory experience managing internal/external project teams is required.
- strong experience facilitating change in a manufacturing environment is critical.
- Must be proficient in MS Office, MS Project, MS Excel, Basic AutoCad, Visio.
- Requires knowledge of CAPEX budgeting and use of the Capital Investment Approval and Tracking (NIMT) tool.
- Requires a Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Process, Chemical, Electrical)
- Plus 1-3 years of significant technical experience with a project engineering background, or equivalent experience.
