Our client is searching for a Senior CNC Application Manager to join a global leader in precision CNC Machine Manufacturing. Their company provides mission-critical machine tools and technical solutions to high-demand industries worldwide.
This is a high-impact, management-track role based at their state-of-the-art Chicago Tech Center (CTC) in Schaumburg, IL. You will report directly to the Director of Application Engineering and serve as the technical authority responsible for driving US market expansion, leading complex projects, and managing key customer relationships.
They are looking for a highly specialized professional with 5-10 years of manufacturing experience and a minimum of 2+ years of engineering team management.
Controls Mastery (5+ Years): Deep, hands-on programming and troubleshooting expertise in Fanuc/CUFOS and Siemens controls.
Advanced Programming: Expert-level G&M codes programming for Multi-Task Turning Centers.
CAM/CAD Proficiency (5+ Years): Expert user of Mastercam, Siemens NX (CAM), SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Design or equivalent practical experience.

responsibilities:
Engineering Leadership: Manage all Application Engineering (AE) activities, drive AE scheduling, and lead a small team in the CTC.
Turnkey & Process Development: Oversee and personally develope the design, programming (G&M codes), and implementation of high-quality Turnkey manufacturing solutions.
Customer Engagement: Conduct pre-sale activities, perform machine assessments, develop complex proposals, and lead expert technical training for major accounts (Aerospace, Automotive, Medical).
Global Collaboration: Collaborate with R&D engineers and specialists from the factory for product testing and sales support (approx. 25% travel required).
