responsibilities:
- Analyze bid documents to meet all requirements, including bonding, insurance, any wage regulations, and prepare competitive proposals
- Review project specifications and drawings to determine the full scope of the project and estimate materials, labor, and equipment costs
- Calculate material quantities and prepare detailed project estimates
- Offer insights on design options that balance cost, quality, and material availability
- Assist with negotiations, change orders, and project management
- Work closely with project managers and clients to deliver clear and compelling pre-qualification and bid presentations
- Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical training is a plus
- 5 years experience in construction estimating for commercial projects is essential
- Knowledge of estimating processes, Procore, project management, and construction techniques
- Excellent decision-making, problem- solving, and supervisory abilities. You should be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- This position requires the candidate to work on-site in Fort Myers, Florida
