A Quality Inspector is needed for a multinational corporation that produces mirrors as well as a variety of construction, high-performance, and other materials in the Akron, OH area. This role will perform in-process inspections, verify line clearances, manage nonconforming materials, and review production records to generate Certificates of Conformance (CoC) while supporting ISO compliance and equipment calibration.

responsibilities:
- Conduct in-process and final product inspections focusing on dimensions and specific attributes.
- Perform and verify line clearances before the start-up of production runs.
- Identify, segregate, and formally document all nonconforming products to prevent defects.
- Review production records for accuracy and completeness to ensure full process integrity.
- Generate product release documentation and Certificates of Conformance (CoC).
- Support calibration and equipment verification activities to maintain measurement accuracy.
- Assist with ISO certification efforts and the resolution of customer quality concerns.
- Provide technical support and documentation during formal customer audits.
- Escalate any unsatisfactory production processes or quality deviations to management.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and facility-wide quality projects.
- Ensure compliance with all procedural and regulatory requirements on the production floor.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
