Are you an experienced construction leader with a passion for high-quality builds and a drive for life on the road? The General Construction division is looking for a dedicated Traveling Superintendent to take the helm of the projects nationwide.
In this role, you won't just be supervising a site; you'll be the primary driver of excellence, overseeing everything from subcontractor execution to weekly scheduling and site safety. Seeking a professional who prides themselves on a clean, professional jobsite and has the technical expertise to manage complex commercial builds from start-up to final occupancy.

responsibilities:
Project Oversight & Execution
- Oversee the execution of the work by all crew members and subcontractors, including quality and production.
- Ensure teams work to job specifications and follow drawings.
- Develop schedules at the beginning of a project and maintain them on a weekly basis.
- Complete daily logs by 8:30 AM each day for the previous day.
- Enter daily time into the timecard app by midnight each day.
- Conduct subcontractor pre-construction meetings and weekly jobsite meetings.
- Update as-built drawings weekly prior to job meetings.
- Take weekly jobsite photos over the duration of the project.
- Communicate jobsite progress and maintain documentation for the Project Manager and General Superintendent.
- Complete all punch lists and have them signed off within two weeks of final certification of occupancy.
- Plan, order, and assign associate and subcontractor tasks on a daily or weekly basis.
- Order necessary safety equipment, tools, and materials to meet project demands and lead times.
- Cost track material purchased and labor expenses; update Project Manager as required.
- Monitor costs based on originally estimated budgets for individual jobs on a weekly basis.
- Ensure job numbers and phase codes are included with all purchases.
- Report and coordinate equipment use to the job under the correct phase code.
- Promote, execute, and adhere to the company's safety program and OSHA compliance.
- Conduct daily safety checks and document site-specific safety inspections.
- Facilitate and monitor weekly safety Toolbox Talks.
- Keep the project site clean and maintain a professional appearance daily.
- Monitor subcontractors and field associates daily for quality control throughout the project.
- Project a positive image always with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Associates Degree in Construction Management is preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years in commercial construction.
- At least 1-2 years in a lead or foreman role managing small projects.
- Valid Driver's License along with proof of auto insurance.
- Ability to obtain OSHA 30 Hour, First Aid/CPR, Forklift, and Aerial certifications within the first year.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project).
- Knowledge of Viewpoint Vista is preferred.
- Willingness to travel to different jobs throughout the country and stay overnight when required.
- Frequently required to sit, stand, and walk.
- Frequently required to use manual dexterity, finger dexterity, and wrist-finger speed.
- Frequently required to utilize far vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Occasionally required to lift or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally exposed to very hot or cold temperatures, high places, and hazardous conditions.
