responsibilities:
- Develop, apply and maintain quality requirements of products during process design through production
- Performs statistical analysis of processes, through the use of trend charts, control charts, Pareto diagrams, and fish bone diagrams for application in continuous improvement efforts
- Performs reject analysis and reject verification to provide feedback to Operations and Engineering for the purpose of process improvement
- Provides special testing, process capability studies, repeatability studies and equipment correlations as required
- Prepares instructions and procedures for use by Quality, Operations, and Customer support personnel for use in inspecting products for mechanical and aesthetic criteria, and for use in training
- Works on New Product Project teams to provide for smooth transition of New Products into the regular manufacturing process
- Consults with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Marketing to initiate product improvements
- Assists with continuous improvement activities in all areas of the business
- Recommend process and/or design improvements, including, developing and maintaining new failure analysis methods, corrective action recommendations, material/component analysis
- Support compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable quality system requirements
- Assist in meeting departmental goals and objectives as defined by the Quality Manager or Director
