Permanent Salaried Position: We have an immediate opening in either Charlotte, NC or Raleigh, NC for a Low Voltage Designer of Audio/Visual, Telecom, IT electrical systems and structured cabling in the building industry. The Designer will work across multiple departments to compile and coordinate all MEP drawings and designs for Commercial Buildings. Experience with design is highly preferable but experience with coordinating Revit designs and utilizing software for clash detection is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred but experience may suffice.
Required Skills:
- 2+ years' experience in Technology design experience (Audio/Visual, Telecommunications, IT)
- AutoCAD and Revit
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, other technical education or equivalent technical experience
- RCDD accreditation or ability to acquire.
- CTS-D is a plus
- Experience reading and understanding blueprints and architectural drawings
- Project Management skills

- Designing solutions Security & Access Control, Audio/Visual, Telecommunications and Structured Cabling to meet appropriate design standards, project & client requirements, and all applicable codes. (Typically related to conference rooms, executive board rooms, huddle spaces, classrooms, video walls, auditoriums, court rooms and digital signage.)
- Completion of assigned projects, making sure designs meet industry codes and standards, client specifications.
- Preparation of final design and construction drawings.
- Works with cross-functional teams --Project Manager, Engineers, and the Construction Administration Specialist
