Permanent position: A leading manufacturer is seeking a Mechanical Engineer who can apply their education, experience, and skills to facilitate the launching of new product designs, to make process improvements, and to solve manufacturing problems. The ideal candidate will have the following:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar field
- The ability to interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and other technical specifications
- Previous soldering experience a plus
- The desire to learn and grow professionally

responsibilities:
- Interprets mechanical drawings, schematics and technical specifications to develop manufacturing work instructions, processes, routers, procedures and test protocols.
- Conducts prototype manufacturing builds to test and evaluate product and process designs and revisions.
- Works in close collaboration with other engineering teams, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales and Quality in the launch of new products and the manufacturing support of existing products.
- Develops and designs basic tools and fixtures, researches and specifies manufacturing equipment and systems.
- Provides documentation on assembly methods and test procedures.
- Conducts failure analyses to resolve manufacturability or quality issues.
- Provides technical assistance in matters of products, materials, equipment and processes.
- May travel up to 5% to visit customers, vendors, suppliers, other company locations, affiliates, attend technical meetings, trade shows or conferences.
