The primary focus of the controls engineer is to develop, launch and support custom programs to interact with existing databases, controllers, and automation throughout our Client's manufacturing plant. The controls engineer will support the building of business cases, upgrading existing applications, and infrastructure improvements needed for the reliability and supportability of the current systems. The controls engineer will also support the coordination with internal and external partners is required, including Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Product Management, and suppliers.
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to operate with minimal supervision
Extensive object-oriented programming experience
Extensive database management experience
Experience with PERL coding
These would be a plus:
Web development experience
Knowledge of Rockwell PAC software, Cognex Vision Systems, Ignition, Groove, barcode scanners and Zebra label printers
Knowledge of Cognex Vision Systems
Knowledge of Ignition, Groove, barcode scanners and Zebra label printers
- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Education: Bachelors
