Direct Hire- Full time- Client located in the Monroe, NC area is seeking a Process Technology Engineer- Level 2 (PLC and IT) to join their team. Must have at least 2 + years of experience working in a manufacturing setting. C+,C++, MES Systems, PLC troubleshooting/Programming, HMIs,MES systems,SCADA and experience working with various projects. Must have a Bachelors degree related to Computer Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, IT etc.

responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for implementation and support of OT systems (hardware, software, network) connecting enterprise applications with the manufacturing process (MES, EAM, PLM, etc.)
- Understanding needs, deploying standard solutions created by the corporate MES team, testing and validating data accuracy, and troubleshooting / resolving issues
- Manage large scale projects, including providing justification, tracking open issues, driving to milestones, keeping updated timing and budget requirements
- Lead the effort to connect manufacturing equipment locally, working closely with controls engineering and IT
- Discuss needs with manufacturing, engineering, and managerial personnel to transform business needs into functional requirements
- Act as the first line resource for deployment, troubleshooting and project requests
- Monitor data accuracy and investigate / drive correction of any discrepancies found
- Document "success stories" for completed projects
- Support connectivity to Industry 4.0 devices
- Ensure OT systems, processes, and procedures are clearly documented.
- Catalog specialized manufacturing support software (ex. PLC, HMI, CAM), monitor licensing and status of updates and support
- Work with plant manufacturing engineering teams to insure adherence to equipment connectivity and integration standards
- Operate within the company's overall objectives for lean manufacturing
- Maintain awareness of the relevance and importance of activities and how each contributes to achieving quality objectives. Understand the importance of ensuring customer quality standards are met. Responsibilities may include the setting quality objectives and related training, corrective and preventive actions, capacity analysis, logistics information, customer scorecards, and customer portals.
- Support legacy MES / SCADA applications
- Support a 24 x 7 manufacturing environment, including participation in after-hours on-call
- Prompt and regular attendance as scheduled
- Work safely and without injury
