Randstad Engineering is conducting a professional search for a Sales Engineer based in Nashville TN to expand our client's customer base in the Southeast. The ideal candidate will have experience in Mechanical Engineering and/or technical sales experince selling into manufacturing clients with a broad understanding of Mechanical Engineering. This is a new business development role with a base salary and bonus potential. The roles requires travel to vist with clients and prospective clients as well as one to two trips anually to our client's corporate office in France. French fluency is a plus, but not required.

- Expand market awareness of our products and expertise within assigned sales territory through:
- Leading company networking and sales generation initiatives to target new prospects and generate new business opportunities, business development
- Search for new clients who might benefit from company products or services
- Proactively manage current and prospective accounts to expand the company's business relationship with them
- Managing projects and relationships with customers. Work with customers to:
- Understand their products
- Capture their requirements
- Prepare project proposals and contracts
- Though our solutions are built on a common platform, our customers possess a wide variety of applications, resources, and capabilities requiring a thorough understanding of the client environment and ability to consult on individualized approach. This role is responsible for:
- Bringing critical customer requirements back into the development, production, and marketing processes
- Supporting prospects/customers unique design service needs in implementing our technology
- Managing and interpreting customer requirements
- Researching options or custom solutions
- Technical Sales and Support: Our products are innovative and highly technical. A critical part of the sales and marketing process involves communicating features and applications effectively, demonstrating our expertise, and interacting with customers' engineering teams to illustrate our solutions.
- To this end, the Sales Engineer will work in concert with our Engineering and Sales team to offer the best solution, build relationships with customers, and act as a representative of the company at industry events and meetings.
- Communicate with clients and seek to understand, anticipate, and meet their needs
- Generate technical sales proposals and contracts (Statement of Work, Services Proposals)
- Participate in sales meetings (in person or virtual), sales calls, trade shows and the development of others strategies and initiatives
- Making technical presentations and demonstrating how our products meet client needs
- Attend and/or participate in trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
- Manage a sales process related to projects with varying levels of complexity and contract values
- Support and train customers during start up of new applications
- Manage customer claims and help in technical problem resolution
- Work with the application & engineering team to ensure schedules and deliveries are being met

- Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North & South Carolina, Virginia
- Travel required between thoses states to meets clients and prospects
- Meet or exceed annual slaes goals set forth by management
- Maintain records of customer communication and sales activity in our CRM and established internal communication systems
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, preferred)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Professional interpersonal communication skills and a warm personality
- A proven desire to network, an outgoing personality and aggressive determination
- The ideal candidate will possess an eagerness to lead, creativity, and curiosity
- Available for International Travel (France), 1-2 times per year
- Tool & Die or Stamping background with solid troubleshooting skills
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience and proven success in a technical sales role, preferred
- Full clean driving license
- Ability to travel 50% of the time
- Fluency in French, a plus
