As a technical writer, you are responsible for the creation of user manuals for different product categories. Together with Innovation, Engineering, Product Research and Marketing, you convert the input provided into user manuals and other digital content. In parallel you are co-creating online support pages by providing knowledge articles and other relevant post purchase user content. For this task you will closely work together with the Product Research and Consumer Care teams. As a technical writer, you will be working on several projects at the same time. Within the project team, it is your responsibility to ensure that the artwork of the user manual is delivered before the set deadline. You are also responsible for uploading user manuals onto the support websites using centralized content management tools. Tasks and responsibilities: Execute creation of DFU/IFU delivery projects under direction of the Packaging Content Program Manager and Instructional Asset Lead for new products and existing product changes to meet market RFS from global BMC and technical teams.Creating well-structured and clear user content per branding guidelines.Writing user manual texts based on guidelines and a style guide with direction provided by R&D team inputs.Ensuring compliance with international legal standardsGiving instructions to and managing external contacts: illustrators, translation agency and DTP agency. job summary: Technical Artist needed for contract opportunity with Randstad Technologies client in Redmond, WA. We're looking for a solid team player with excellent communication skills who can work closely with lighting artists and engineers, and also be self-sufficient and work independently as required. You will be creative and flexible, able to follow art direction and technical briefs and most importantly of all be driven to help us produce the highest quality real-time lighting possible. Minimum Qualifications and Skills strong experience with scripted systems such as Lua or Python. Experience with real-time game engines and editors such as Unreal, Unity or proprietary tools. Understanding of CG lighting technology. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Pluses Network-related scripting experience specifically related to co-op/multiplayer. Experience with C++ Interest or experience working as a Lighting artist in games.
