A prominent manufacturing company in the Shreveport area is seeking a Production Manager. This role reports directly to the Plant Manager and is responsible for overall management of production at the plant location. The Production Manager is responsible for coordinating production, meeting goals efficiently, and properly training and motivating staff in a safe environment. This position will be a key member of the Food Safety and Quality team and have responsibility for leading implementation and on-going program management/oversight on SQF certification as it relates to the production floor. This is a critical fill for the company! The position is full time, direct hire position $100K+

responsibilities:
? Shift production operations.
? Recognize and solve problems affecting production including schedules, staff, waste and quality.
? Responsible for the smooth and cost efficient running of the plants
? Ensure Employees are following safety procedures. Guards are in place and being used.
? Responsible for the safe operation of equipment on shift.
? Ensure employees are following the following quality procedures: Good Manufacturing Practices,
Lot Control Procedures, Customer Specifications are being met
? Ensure that employees are performing up to expectations in both productivity and waste.
? Counsel and correct improper techniques that are affecting productivity and quality.
? Provide feedback for areas of improvement.
? Ensure employees are keeping work areas clean and free of debris and contaminants.
? Plan, organize and direct production to ensure the most effective return on assets.
