A Hardware Technician is needed for an American multinational corporation specializing in Internet-related services and products in the Irvine, CA area. We are looking for a hardware technician for the Irvine facility who will help with building prototypes (soldering, wiring,installing mics, speakers, sensors, circuit boards etc) on wearable devices like headphones. The technician is also expected to help with tearing down consumer electronics products, make electrical and audio measurements, and upkeep a lab space.

responsibilities:
- Daily tasks include: soldering, assembly and rework.
- Will be required to be onsite.
- Working with general electronics equipment (scopes, multi-meters etc.)
- Working under a microscope (chip & wire assembly, soldering of miniature components)
- Disassemble, modify, and reassemble consumer electronic products (e.g. Wire out transducers of headphones)
- Paying attention to detail and process.
- Working well within a team.
- Any technical or professional training 2+ years experienced with general electronics equipment (scopes, multi-meters etc.) and/or performing similar tasks.
- Knowledge of electronic and mechanical assemblies Proficient with soldering, assembly and rework tasks.
- Excellent hand dexterity and the ability to work under a microscope (chip and wire assembly, soldering of miniature components).
- Ability to disassemble, modify, and reassemble consumer electronic products(e.g. Wire out transducers of headphones)
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and process Candidate should work well with a team .
- Desired Fluent with audio analyzer (e.g. Audio Precision or SoundCheck or Klippel R&D System)
- 3D printing (including light mechanical CAD) of small parts
- Some familiarity with audio measurement software is desirable.
