Project Estimator based in Jacksonville, FL for a leading company handling projects in marine construction and engineering sectors. This role is responsible for bidding on and estimating new jobs for a marine construction company. To be considered - must have project estimating experience within heavy civil, construction, transportation, or marine construction industries. This is a direct hire opportunity. Required Qualifications:
- Must have project estimating experience within heavy civil, construction, transportation, or marine construction industries
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to read blueprints and construction plans
- Computer skills: Contract Management Systems; and Microsoft Suite
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

- Responsible for performing estimating, bidding, budgeting, and scheduling for marine construction projects
- Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists
- Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work
- Consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
- Organizes and manages a centralized cost estimating database and a formal process to support cost estimating
