responsibilities:
Essential Functions
- Inspect building and other structures to determine functional systems, detect malfunctions and make recommendations using a pre?established check sheet.
- Perform minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work.
- Use appropriate tools to perform minor electrical maintenance of fixtures such as fuses, appliances, wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, etc.
- Perform minor plumbing maintenance (e.g., leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.).
- Ensure Facilities PM schedules are established for targeted site equipment as pertaining to the facility.
- Properly document closeout and track PM completion.
- Keep all PM documentation pertaining to role in an orderly file storage area for audits purposes.
- Understand and follow all safety procedures to operate, maintain, and clean equipment (Lock Out Tag Out, Personal Protective Equipment, etc.).
- Order parts and maintain required documents.
- Assist with facility projects as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years' mechanical maintenance experience
- High Pressure Black Seal Boiler License, preferred
- Experience in operation and minor maintenance of pressure steam boilers
- Able to troubleshoot complex problems with the use of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic prints/schematics
- Ability to use hand tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, power tools (drill, screw gun, reciprocating saw, etc.)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work flexible work schedule, including weekends
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Thrive in a team environment and work independently
