A Dev/Research Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Chillicothe, IL area. This position will lead projects from start to finish- responsibilities would vary based upon projects needs from day-to-day.

responsibilities:
- Leading and execution of projects related to the Dynamics simulation of valvetrain, and injector train components and systems using GT-Suite software
- Performing thermo-mechanical FEA and fatigue assessment of valvetrain and injector train components
- Documenting analysis objectives, conclusions, results, and assumptions.
- Interpreting analysis results and providing recommendations for design improvements
- Gaining expertise in this area and take on more responsibility in leading projects
Technical Skills Required:
- Knowledge/experience with Engine dynamics and vibrations and FEA
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to work on increasingly more complex assignments
