This role is 100% Remote.

Randstad Engineering Solutions is looking for a Lead Systems engineer to join our Integrated Mission Solutions Engineering Products team. We are looking for a highly experienced Lead systems engineer with the ability to think critically and have experience with model based systems engineering. The candidate must also have experience not only on documenting but also developing of systems design based of customer requirements. This candidate must have experience in developing an Line Replaceable Units (LRU) that has had Safety / Reliability critical security requirements. This candidate must have experience with being able to set / derive system design and create IDD, SDD, etc. The candidate will be Identifying, coordinate and create requirements, functional threads and interfaces for incorporation into system architecture, modeling environment and system physical design
Industry: Avionics
Development Processes: Structured (e.g. DO-178B like), D0-178 (A & B), Mill 882E, Dal Level A,B
Development Environment: Windows Development Environment, Linux
Other: Later in the project lite travel may be needed.
Communication Skills:
Excellent communication skills, should be comfortable asking questions an interfacing with team members and clients
Precise written skills and Verbal Skills
Leadership Skills:
Should have experience in leading and taking ownership of a process and seeing it through to completion
Capable of estimating, tracking, and communicating cost, schedule, and risk in support of program earned value metrics.
Required Skills:
strong understanding of DO-178 (DAL-A) and MIL-STD-882 system safety processes
Identify, coordinate and create requirements, functional threads and interfaces for incorporation into system architecture, modeling environment and system physical design.
Develop System / Subsystem Design Description (SSDD)
Experience with Model Based Engineering tools and languages such as Enterprise Architecture, Cameo, MagicDraw, and UML/SysML
Experience with complex safety, reliability, analysis and testability requirement overlays
