Client is looking for an AutoCAD draftsman to join their team! If you have experience in the AutoCAD design field and have experience closely working with an engineer, this position might be right for you. Candidates' tasks will include creating occasional, original designs as well as mocking up 2D sketches provided by the engineer. The candidate should have a good working knowledge of CAD software, as well as a mechanical aptitude with the ability to conceptualize how drawings will be utilized in the manufacturing process.

responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Uses computer-assisted design (CAD) software to create preliminary and detailed drawings
- Determine the proper size and materials for products
- Works in tandem with an engineer in order to draft original designs and create 3D designs from
scratch by referencing 2D designs provided by the engineer
- Create designs and prints that will be used in the fabrication and assembly processes
- Create designs and prints that will be sent to metal suppliers to have profiled parts made
- Assist with verification of accuracy upon delivery of profiled parts from metal suppliers
- Create and maintain parts books and manuals for customer use

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
- Five years of related experience preferred
