Process Engineering Manager-Salem, OH- Full time direct hire. Local client is seeking an experienced Process Improvement Engineer who has leadership background, automotive/metals industry experience or a Sr. Process Engineer ready for a Management position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Implementation of equipment to design budget and timeline
Leads and facilitates continuous improvement for process and equipment capabilities.
Coordinates, plans, and directs the activities outside contractors and equipment manufacturers for major capital and/or repair projects.
Develop standard work practices, maintenance programs, etc to maintain/improve equipment utilization and optimization.
Leads Process Engineering team with project based KPI methodology.
Support plant functionally to problem solve and implement KPI driven solutions
Directs training of employees to improve work performance, safety practices and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
Coordinate between sites as needed for technical expertise
Regular attendance is required
Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages a team of engineering resources and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Pennex's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
