Randstad has partnered with a client within the industrial equipment and supplies industry and is seeking a Sales Tax Representative to join their finance team. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance and efficiency in sales tax operations, audits, and exemption management. salary: $20 - $22 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Research and validate all incoming tax exemption certificates based on state-specific rules and regulations.
• Code and update customer accounts with appropriate tax-exempt status after verification.
• Process tax credits to customer accounts or credit cards as warranted.
• Assist customers in researching and validating tax rates and exemptions.
• Investigate sales tax overpayments and initiate refunds as needed.
• Provide support to sales teams and customers regarding sales tax rules for each state.
• Collaborate with the Tax Manager on sales tax audits and related projects.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental goals.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in a business-to-business Accounts Receivable or tax-related environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office, and modern web browsers (Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge).
• Proficient 10-key data entry and excellent attention to detail.
• Communication and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
