Immediate opportunity for a high caliber, experienced Director of Production to oversee manufacturing operations and drive results!  Job summary: the Director will manage plant operations and performance as it relates to product quality, production efficiency, food safety, regulatory compliance, service to sales, physical asset management, cost control, workplace safety, and employee training and development. This person is responsible for ensuring products are produced in a safe, sanitary environment conforming to recognized industry cGMP’s & Food Safety regulations and delivered in accordance with industry standards and customer specifications and expectations.  Company summary: family owned private label roasting firm, strategically located in in close proximity to the Port of NY/NJ. Management has 100+ years of experience in sourcing, trading, hedging, importing, & roasting coffee. Supplies coffee to an elite group of quality conscious food service and retail consumers. 

salary: $120,000 - $130,000 per year

Responsibilities

Lead manufacturing and production operations in accordance with JJM Packaging’s values and customer expectations.

Manage performance of plant operations as it relates to quality, safety, productivity, employee training and leadership development.

Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for our key initiatives.

Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to maximize output and minimize costs while ensure high quality

Assist to devise and implement QC processes at critical points in the manufacturing process.

Develop a work environment of continuous improvement and lead problem solving activities, new projects and process implementation and standardization.

Capable of leading and executing effective change management strategies.

Improve teamwork and establish high levels of employee involvement.
