We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Field Service Technician, to troubleshoots and repair VFFS bagging machines, sizers, packhouse automation experience preferred. We are  a global provider of produce packaging machines and materials, as well as a full line of packing house automation equipment. This challenging position requires an experienced mechanic who can provide confident expertise in the face of operational problems.  The Field Service Technician will repair and install equipment, oversee start-up, conduct maintenance, and monitor the performance of our products at our customers’ locations. Responsibilities

Currently seeking an experienced field service technician. VFFS bagging machines, sizers, packhouse automation experience preferred. Sorma offers paid vacation, health insurance and other benefits in its compensation package and this is a great opportunity to begin a long-term career.

• electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read electrical and software schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft OFFICE Suite and network systems.
• Installation and repairs require frequent use of hands including fine motor skills, sitting, driving up to 4 hours daily, walking & standing on concrete floors for long periods of time, stooping, bending, climbing, occasional lifting and moving up to 30 pounds. 

Occasional travel is required for service and installation reasons. Rarely is trip longer than 5-6 days. Travel is limited to North America. Spanish speaking is a definite plus, but not required.'
