This is a fast paced environment where you will be answering calls, assisting members with their questions and will be required to multi-task efficiently. You will follow up with customers via phone, email and fax to retrieve any necessary information.

Responsibilities

The Call Center Representative serves as the point of contact for questions, problem solving and access to care for all involved in the care of members. He or she is responsible for providing accurate, prompt, friendly and courteous service in response to written and telephonic inquiries from Members. 

• Provide direct member education about benefits proactively and on an ongoing basis including explanation and clarification of the Member Handbook
• Process Member complaints and appeals in accordance with policies
• Assist with administrative functions or special projects of the Call Center Department
• Prior experience working in a health care envirnment a plus 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, data entry, documentation and report generation
