Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, bulletin board updates and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc. refers more complex questions to appropriate HR staff or management.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records and ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department.
- Processes required paperwork for employee transfers, changes in job classification, salary increases, and other related employment matters.
- Acts as liaison between employees and benefits/payroll.
- Conducts new hire orientation.
- Runs human resource reports such as attendance, new hire, and turnover reports.
- Assist recruiting as needed. Posts approved positions, screens applicants, schedules pre-employment testing, interviews, and presents pre-approved offers.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events/HR related training.
- Assists HR Manager II with special projects and research.
- Responsible for tracking FMLA, Work Comp, work visas, etc.
- Point of contact and assists union employees during benefit open enrollment and new hire benefit enrollment.
