Responsibilities
- Purchase materials according to specified technical requirements, cost targets, delivery schedules, and contract terms.
- Negotiate with suppliers and periodically update pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Initiate purchase orders based on requisitions while ensuring compliance with standard procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance including on-time delivery, quality, and responsiveness, and work to resolve performance issues.
- Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to identify and qualify new suppliers.
- Ensure all supplier activities align with customer needs in terms of content, quality, delivery timelines, sustainability goals, and pricing.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and apply standard procurement practices and company policies.
- Communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments throughout the procurement process.
- Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field with up to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Equivalent combinations of education, experience, or demonstrated achievements will also be considered.
