Responsibilities
- Proactively verify initial and ongoing insurance eligibility, contact payers to secure authorizations for all required services, and troubleshoot any related issues, including coverage denials.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date client and insurance data in the EHR system and assist in organizing information necessary for timely medical billing claims.
- Collaborate closely with clinical staff to ensure authorizations are accurate and address unit discrepancies, while monitoring and communicating changes in payer requirements and regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, clearly explaining insurance coverage and answering complex benefit questions regarding out-of-pocket costs.
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations and support audits by providing necessary insurance documentation and reports.
- Additional relevant tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of ABA insurance verification experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem solving skills
