Responsibilities
GAAP Compliance & Technical Accounting: Apply a robust understanding of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) to all accounting transactions, ensuring technical accuracy in complex areas such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, and expense classification.
Orchestrate the Month-End Close: Take ownership of the month-end close procedures to ensure financial statements are finalized within strict deadlines. This includes originating, validating, and processing all complex general ledger postings and journal entries.
Comprehensive P&L Review: Conduct a granular review of Profit & Loss statements prior to month-end finalization.
Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
Disbursement Management: Initiate and oversee electronic payment cycles, including ACH transfers, domestic wires, and customer drafts, ensuring strict adherence to approval workflows and security protocols.
Cash Flow Visibility: Monitor daily cash positions and collaborate with the treasury team to ensure adequate liquidity for operational obligations.
Government Correspondence: Act as the point of contact for resolving government notices and inquiries.
Policy Enforcement: Rigidly uphold and enforce all corporate financial policies and internal controls.
