I’m partnering with a client who is seeking an experienced Corporate Tax professional for a contract opportunity through tax season. This role supports U.S. and Canadian direct and indirect tax functions and offers hands-on exposure to complex, multi-entity tax work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather information for the preparation of U.S. and Canada direct and indirect tax returns, including extensions, quarterly estimates, FBAR, and trust returns
- Prepare detailed workpapers for submission to co-sourcing partners
- Prepare the annual tonnage tax calculation
- Collect data for intercompany transactions and prepare Forms 5472
- Prepare draft quarterly and year-end income tax provisions, including:
- Provision schedules
- NI reconciliation
- M-3 adjustments
- Net operating loss and credit carryforwards
- Tax exposure roll forward
- Quarterly interest calculations on tax exposures
- Provision schedules
- Work closely with external tax providers to respond to inquiries and resolve issues
- Review tax returns and supporting schedules prior to filing to ensure accuracy
- Ensure all required filings and tax payments are made timely
- Research tax issues as needed
- Corporate tax compliance and provision experience
- Experience supporting U.S. and/or Canadian tax filings
- strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with co-sourcing partners

Responsibilities
Gather the information for the preparation of U.S. and Canada direct and
indirect tax returns, including extensions and quarterly estimates; FBAR;
and trust returns. Prepare workpapers for submission to co-sourcing
partners for preparation of tax returns. Prepare the annual tonnage tax
calculation. Gather data for all intercompany transactions and prepare
Forms 5472.
Prepare the draft quarterly income tax provision for the quarterly and year-
end tax provision computations for the group, including but not limited to
provision schedules, NI reconciliation, M-3 adjustments, the net operating
loss and credit carry forwards, the tax exposure roll forward, the quarterly
interest calculation on tax exposures and other relevant data.
Work closely with co-sourcing partners by responding to inquiries and
resolving issues related to the preparation of the income tax returns to
ensure timely and accurate preparation. Review all tax returns and
supporting schedules prior to filing to ensure information is reported
accurately. Ensure all required payments and filings are made timely.
Research tax issues as necessary.
