Responsibilities
Financial Accuracy & Record Keeping
- Journal Entries & General Ledger: Prepare and post accurate journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded correctly.
- Bank & Credit Card Reconciliations: Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts and credit card statements to ensure 100% data integrity.
- Month-End Closing: Lead the month-end close process, meeting tight deadlines and providing a clear snapshot of the company’s financial health.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) to support leadership in strategic decision-making.
- Accounts Payable (AP): Manage the full cycle of AP, from verifying invoices to scheduling payments and maintaining vendor relationships.
- Collections & Customer Service: Proactively manage the Aging Report. Use a "firm but friendly" approach to resolve payment issues with customers while providing top-tier service.
- Sales Tax Compliance: Calculate, file, and remit sales tax in accordance with state and local regulations.
- Inventory Management: Oversee and reconcile inventory levels. Coordinate with the warehouse/production to perform audits and ensure physical stock matches digital records.
