We are seeking a high-caliber Director of Accounting for a premier, high-growth organization in the Henderson area. This is a critical leadership role that reports directly to the Controller and serves as a key partner to the executive team.
Following a significant internal leadership restructure, we are looking for an ambitious, tenured professional who is ready to "own" the accounting function and help drive a major digital transformation.
salary: $165,000 - $175,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Leadership & Strategy: Manage and coach a department of approximately 15 professionals, including direct oversight of AP, AR, and General Ledger managers.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- GAAP Compliance: Prepare & analyze accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, P&L, and ad hoc segment reporting.
- Systems Evolution: Lead department through a major ERP migration to a cloud-based environment.
- Controls & Audits: Develop, implement, and maintain internal accounting policies and procedures while assisting with year-end audit requests.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation and enhanced operational efficiency within accounting operations.
- Education: BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is strictly required.
- Experience: 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
- Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of GAAP and experience drafting/reviewing complex financial reports.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and prior experience with ERP systems (Sage 100 or Sage Cloud experience is highly advantageous).
- Leadership Profile: An effective and professional" communicator capable of providing pushback and managing diverse, high-tenure personalities.
- Hands-on Approach: Must be willing to function as both an individual contributor and a people manager from day one.
