The Cash Application Specialist is a critical member of the Finance team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. This role focuses on the precise posting of payments, reconciliation of accounts, and management of banking correspondence to maintain total financial integrity. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional capable of meeting strict deadlines in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Payment Processing: Accurately post high volumes of policyholder payments into the internal administration system.
  
  
• Banking Correspondence: Manage and resolve daily correspondence related to banking partners to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
  
  
• Account Analysis: Review aged Accounts Receivable (A/R) balances to identify and process necessary write-offs.
  
  
• Refund Management: Review and confirm the accuracy of system-generated refunds before issuance.
  
  
• Issue Resolution: Respond to internal and external requests regarding voiding/reapplying funds, cash investigations, expedited refunds, credit card voids, chargebacks, and reissuing checks.
  
  
• Operational Support: Coordinate with and handle escalated queries from offshore Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) groups to ensure seamless global operations.
