Responsibilities
Customer Quality Issue Intake & Interpretation
- Receive and review customer quality concerns, including product failures, sorting activity requests (on-site or at customer locations), line stoppages, and dimensional, functional, or cosmetic nonconformances
- Analyze customer-provided documentation such as photos, inspection reports, customer portal data, emails, and chargeback notices
- Translate customer-specific terminology, requirements, and urgency into clear, actionable communication for suppliers and internal teams
Customer feedback is accurately understood, technically correct, and not diluted or misinterpreted when communicated downstream. Ambiguous or incomplete information is clarified proactively to avoid misaligned corrective actions.
Supplier Quality Coordination (Approx. 25–30 Key Suppliers)
- Communicate quality concerns clearly and promptly to suppliers
- Request, receive, and review supplier responses, including root cause analysis, containment actions, and short- and long-term corrective actions
- Challenge weak, incomplete, or non–automotive-standard responses
- Track supplier responsiveness and escalate when required
- Ensure SAP accurately reflects the physical and quality status of inventory
- Coordinate with internal users performing SAP transactions when execution is delegated
