Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our Finance team in Boca Raton. This role is vital to ensuring the accuracy of our daily financial operations. You will manage high-volume payment posting, resolve complex discrepancies, and maintain critical banking relationships. The ideal candidate possesses a "detective" mindset and a commitment to financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- High-Volume Posting: Accurately post and reconcile policyholder payments (ACH, Wire, Check, Credit Card) into internal systems daily to maintain ledger integrity.
- Banking Liaison: Act as the primary contact for JPMorgan correspondence. Monitor bank portals and lockbox activity to ensure all funds are accounted for and matched.
- A/R Aging Analysis: Conduct weekly audits of aged Accounts Receivable (A/R) balances. Identify stagnant accounts, investigate discrepancies, and execute necessary write-offs.
- Refund Management: Validate system-generated refunds prior to issuance. Manage the lifecycle for credit card voids, chargebacks, and reissuing stale-dated checks.
- Global BPO Support: Serve as the escalation point for offshore BPO groups. Provide technical guidance on posting errors to ensure seamless global operations.
- Issue Resolution: Research unapplied funds and cash investigations. Provide support for urgent refunds and maintain clear communication with Customer Service.
- Compliance & Reporting: Maintain audit trails for all activities. Prepare daily cash position reports, ensuring payments align with bank deposits. Report variances to management.
- Experience: 2+ years in Cash Applications, A/R, or high-volume financial processing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems or banking portals (specifically JPMorgan).
- Attributes: Extreme attention to detail and the ability to coordinate with offshore teams.

- Issue Resolution: Research unapplied funds and cash investigations. Provide expedited support for urgent refunds and maintain clear communication with Customer Service regarding account status.
- Compliance & Reporting: Maintain audit trails for all posting activities. Prepare daily cash position reports, ensuring payments align with bank deposits. Report variances to management for swift resolution.
